The kinds of energy that can be developed by experimenting with the interplay of all sorts of materials holds great fascination for me.

I am inspired by nature and by the human condition, and I would like to think that my own explorations will trigger responses in the viewers of my work that might be different from mine, and might reveal something new, unexpected or inspirational to them.

I often work with a sense of playfulness, because I believe play to be essential to human nature and to the health of our essential being, but my intent is fundamentally serious.The mysteries of nature have always evoked in me a very conscious sense of wonder and it is important to me to embody that particular emotional experience in my work if I can.
